Michael Kitson is an international organisation change consultant with 35 years of experience, working in North America, Europe and several Asia Pacific arenas. His practice focuses on strategy development with senior executives, organisation design, large system organisational change, senior team development, leadership transitions, executive coaching, and human resources strategy development.
Michael’s extensive consulting experience and engagement spans work at all organisational levels including CEOs and C-level executives, senior leadership teams, business unit and department heads, front line management, and organised labour. He has consulted to a broad range of industries, both publicly and privately held, including: petroleum, chemical, mining, industrial and consumer products, publishing, insurance, banking and financial services, telecommunications, and health care.

With his experience in strategic human resource management, he has designed and implemented business-wide initiatives directed at executive staffing & development, performance management, and reward systems.
In addition to being a member of Jonno Hanafin Associates, Michael is Principal of Michael Kitson Associates, a senior leadership consulting practice. Previously, he was a Senior Director with Delta Consulting Group in New York. He has been Director of Human Resources and Organisation Planning for Sun Company (Sunoco), and has held internal organisation consulting positions at Sun Refining & Marketing Company and Syncrude Canada Ltd (Imperial Oil/Exxon). Michael also has held marketing and sales management positions with E. I. DuPont de Nemours Company.
Michael has an MBA in Organisational Behavior from Iona College Graduate School of Business (New York) and a BBA in Marketing from Manhattan College (New York). He is a graduate of Columbia University’s Advanced Program in Organisation Development and Human Resource Management, and the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland’s International Organisation & Systems Development Program. Michael has been professionally trained in many National Training Labs (NTL) Institute organisation consulting programs.
